Stallone’s work in Creed became one of the most praised performances of his later career. In 2016, he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, a major recognition for returning to a character he had first created nearly 40 years earlier.

He also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, adding to the Oscar story that began with Rocky in 1977. The moment felt like a rare full-circle chapter in Hollywood. But even after that emotional comeback, he was still finding new franchises to enter.
