As a part of that relapse, Vicki turned to her good friend from the mental facility, Marvin. Without Bloomingdale’s allowance – and having spent most of her savings on lawyer fees – she had no money and was looking for roommates. She contacted Marvin and offered him to be roommates, and he agreed.
They both believed that they could help each other. Martin was recently discharged from the facility, and feeling better than ever, he believed he could be a good influence on his friend. Vicki, on her end, realized that both her and Marvin were having financial issues, so this was a good arrangement for both of them.
