Amusing and Confusing Texts Between Landlords and Tenants

This is an unfortunate message. We think we know what this landlord means – we hope we know what he means – but it’s still an unfortunate choice of words. “I’m thinking of selling the house and was going to sell the house with you in it.” Is he planning on selling his tenant together with the house? If anything, we think this might make it harder for him to find a buyer.

We know that he probably meant he was going to sell the house while his tenant was still living there, and so he should expect the house to be crowded with people coming and going in the next couple of months. We’ve seen some pretty disturbing messages on this list, and it’s hard to say this is the worst one, but it’s definitely in the top five.
