Okay, we’ve seen all kinds of landlord-tenant relationships on the list – some strictly professional, others a bit more personal and others yet downright inappropriate. We’re not sure in which category this text message falls. Is it inappropriate? In a way, he seems friendly and supportive. Is there anything wrong with being friends with your landlord? There might be, but we’re not quite sure.
Either way, we can’t help but wonder how did they get to this situation in the first place. Why would you go out dancing with your landlord? We have a feeling this person might have had one too many drinks the night before, and he might find this text as surprising as we did. One way or another, in the second part of the texts he sounds very supportive, as if he’s just looking out for a friend, so maybe there’s no funny business here after all.
